Personal Awards

Personal awards are presented to team members as a means to recognize event attendance, skill on the field, and dedication to the success of the team both on and off the field. Below is a list of our current awards, displayed highest to lowest from top to bottom:

Team GDR Knight's Cross
The highest award, given for actions both on and off the field that bring great credit to the individual and team. Awarded in three grades, Knight's Cross, with oakleaves, and with oakleaves and swords. Awardees are entitled to have the honor title 'KC' after their name on all official team registers. Also, recipients are automatically placed on the Team GDR Hall of Fame list.
Founder's Order
Awarded to team members that significantly contribute to the day-to-day administration and operation of the team, or who contribute significant time and/or effort to the team. Awardees are entitled to have the honor title 'FO' after their name on all official team registers.
Regimental Defense Badge
This is the oldest award available to team members, and was first awarded in 1999. It is presented to team members that show a high degree of intestinal fortitude while under heavy fire and against disproportional odds. Awardees are entitled to have the honor title 'RDB' after their name on all official team registers.
GDR Officer's Cuff Title
The GD Cuff Title is a physical award presented to officers of the team by the commanding officer as a symbol of thanks for devotion and dedication to the team. Awardees are entitled to have the honor title 'CT' after their name on all official team registers.
GDR Enlisted Cuff Title
The GD Cuff Title is a physical award presented to enlisted members by the commanding officer as a symbol of thanks for devotion and dedication to the team. Awardees are entitled to have the honor title 'CT' after their name on all official team registers.
Tank Destruction Badge
Awarded for confirmed kill of a vehicle classified as a mobile paintball tank during a recognized team event. To be eligible for this award, the 'kill' must be witnessed by at least one other team member.
Leadership Ribbon
Awarded for demonstration of skill and proficiency while in command of a team-sized or larger formation of GDR or non-GDR players during a recognized team event.
Long Service (99) Ribbon
Awarded to members of the GDR that were on the team roster during the 1999-2001 period.
Expert Infantry Badge
Awarded for demonstrated proficiency in the core areas of leadership, marksmanship, land navigation and tactics.
Sniper Badge
Awarded for demonstrated proficiency as a sniper in support of team operations during a recognized team event.
Wound Badge
Awarded to members that are injured by enemy fire during a recognized team event. Awarded in two grades, bronze for injuries involving bleeding or worse, and gold for extensive injuries or injuries to the unmentionables.
Sapper Tab
Awarded for skills shown during an event in the demolitions, engineering and/or antitank role.
Honor Guard Tab
Awarded to the youngest member of the team, and also any individual assigned as the team's color bearer. Once awarded, the tab is never rescinded.
Infantry Assault Badge
Awarded for attending two or more recognized events as part of the GDR
Combat Action Badge
Awarded for attendance of a member's first event as part of the GDR
Airborne Badge
Awarded to team members that are qualified military parachutists or civilian qualified skydivers. Documentation must be approved by team staff prior to awarding.
Medic Tab
Awarded to members for gallant action as a medic during an event.
Logistics Achievement Medal
Awarded to team members for work or actions that significantly affect the readiness of the team and/or maintenance of team (or personal) equipment.
General Staff Tab
Awarded to members currently serving as part of the team's command staff in one of the following positions: S-1, S-3, or S-4. The award is rescinded once the member leaves the staff position.
Tribes Team Commemorative Ribbon
Awarded to team members that were part of the GDR Clan Tribes team during the 1999-2001 period.
2nd Battalion Commemorative Ribbon
Awarded to team members that were part of the GDR Clan DOD/DODS/CS/CSS team during the 2001-2009 period.
JG1 Commemorative Ribbon
Awarded to team members that were part of the GDR Clan Crimson Skies team during 2001.
